Doodle Road guide
How to play Doodle Road
Doodle Road is an original draw-and-drive challenge that runs directly in your browser. Sketch a safe route from the small car to the finish flag, then send it on its way.
Pick a route
Open an unlocked level and look at the car, flag, and danger zones.
Draw the road
Use your mouse, finger, trackpad, or stylus to draw from the car to the flag.
Drive to the finish
Select Drive it. A safe route reaches the flag and unlocks the next level.
Controls at a glance
Mouse / trackpad: Hold and drag from the car toward the flag
Touch / stylus: Draw directly on the game board
Keep your line out of dark danger zones and avoid sharp vertical turns. If the route fails validation or misses the flag, select Clear road and redraw it.
Try this: finish First Sketch
Level one has no hazards. Its car and flag sit at the same height, so you do not need a bridge, loop, or jump. Dismiss the instruction banner with Got it if it covers the board, then draw a nearly horizontal line from START to FINISH.
- Put your pointer on the car’s start marker. Hold down and draw across the board to the flag, then release.
- Select Drive it. The car follows the completed line automatically; there is no steering or accelerator to hold.
- A straight line between the exact endpoints uses 78 board units. It falls within the three-star limit of 100. A slightly uneven line can still earn three stars if it stays within that limit.
- Use Next level to open Broken Ground. Unlike level one, it has a gap to avoid; do not assume the same straight road works on every board.
This example describes the native 12-level game on this website, not the similarly named game on another publisher’s site. Ink units scale with the board; they are not screen pixels.
Clear, retry, or replay: which control?
- Clear road
- Removes your ink and returns the car to the start of the current puzzle. It does not erase your unlocked levels or best stars. Use it when you want to draw a different route.
- Drive it
- Tests your current line. If the road is rejected before the car moves, read the message: start and finish proximity, route length, danger zones, and sudden steep segments are checked. Change the part named in the message instead of redrawing at random.
- Map
- Returns to a level you have already unlocked. A replay can improve that level’s best stars without replacing a higher score with a lower one.
Progress and garage choices are stored in this browser, not an account. If storage is blocked, play still works but saving may not. Clearing site data or changing devices can remove access to that saved progress.

Start with a smooth line in level one, then use longer curves when new obstacles arrive.
